Brand63Africa made its London Fashion Week debut in February 2026. The launch introduced a platform with a long-term purpose: building sustained access and visibility for designers of African heritage in the global luxury market.

Beyond a moment to a movement

Founded by cultural strategist and communications expert Eva Omaghomi CVO, Brand63Africa takes its name from 1963, the year the African Union was formed. The name reflects the platform’s emphasis on unity, community, culture and creativity.

Its inaugural cohort brings together five heritage houses: Christie Brown, Abiola Olusola, Sukeina, Studio Namnyak and The Cloth. Their work connects traditional craftsmanship with contemporary luxury design, spanning creative communities in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Kenya, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The News & Coverage page brings together published features and photographs from the official launch and after party. The press selection includes The Business of Fashion, Marie Claire UK, ELLE UK, Guzangs, Vogue Italia, The Standard and MSN.

The launch gallery offers a closer look at the setting, guests and moments that marked the debut. Launch photography is credited to Ernest Simmons.

A sustained platform

Harrods is Brand63Africa’s exclusive UK retail partner. Alongside the launch, the platform sets out a value proposition centred on global market access, strategic visibility, professional development and lasting impact.
